Slide screw tuners are particularly suited to establishing impedances for device characterization or any other application requiring a precisely repeatable mismatch condition. This is due to the precision with which a specific matching condition can be repeated if the tuner has calibrated position indicators. The models described here feature a guaranteed minimum matching range of 6:1 (equivalent VSWR). For higher matching ranges, please see our wide matching range units. These units are provided with micrometer driven probes and, except as noted, vernier readout of carriage position (the 3.5mm tuner has a micrometer driven carriage).

Position locks are provided on both the probe micrometers and the carriage mechanism. Units with sexed connectors have a female connector on one end and a male on the other.
