NM100 & NM101 VNA+ Extension Kits; Produced by NMDG Engineering. Licensed and Sold by Maury Microwave
NM100 & NM101 VNA+ Extension Kits are combinations of software and hardware, designed to run on top of an Agilent PNA-L N5230A Opt 245 and Opt 080, and an Agilent PNA E836X Opt 014 and Opt 080 respectively. Both combinations aim at the characterization of the nonlinear harmonic behavior of high-frequency components, including diodes, transistors, power amplifieres, etc. Augmenting the inherent capabilities of the Agilent test sets these extension kits allow for the measuement (in a calibrated manner) of the incident and reflected waves or voltages and currents at the ports of a component under test. This is achieved under realistic conditions, using a periodic harmonic-related stimulus. The information thus derived is essential to the accurate characterization of the next level of component behavior beyond S-parameters. Through the calibration process, all unknowns effects of interaction between the component and the instrument are eliminated.
With an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) running on the N5230A or the E836X, the user configures and calibrates the system to perform accurate harmonic measurements. Different data formats are supported for saving the measured data. The measured data can be displayed in different ways, (e.g., as time-domain waveforms similar to an oscilloscope's display, or as spectra similar to spectrum analyzer's display) while uniquely adding the phase information.
