Maury Microwave Corporation Passes ISO 9001:2000 Registration Audit
Maury Microwave Corporation marked another milestone on the road to its ISO 9001:2000 registration today, as a team of auditors from SGS International Certification Services, Inc. of Rutherford, New Jersey completed their work. Auditors Moe Reda and Rob Tucker congratulated the company's assembled management team and internal auditors, and announced that Maury had passed the registration audit with high marks and was recommended for registration under the ISO 9001:2000 standard. ISO certification will take place after the audit report is completed and filed. According to Mr. Reda, the certificate should be issued in approximately three weeks. This certification is good for a period of three years. Mr. Reda commended the company's management team for their high level of committment to the ISO 9001 process, and remarked that it had made a strong impression on the audit team. Aided by Jim Mahoney, Managing Director of The Paragon Group, Management Systems Consultants, the registration process began at Maury on June 4, 2001. Mr. Mahoney was involved in every step of the process and, along with his associates Joe Heath and Ayse Erevelles, was totally committed to Maury's success. Working closely with Quality Assurance Manager, Greg Maury, this team custom tailored the company's quality system to match its processes. As of Friday, February 23, 2002 there were 40,369 companies in the United States registered to ISO 9001/2. Of these only 568 were registered to the 2000 Standard. This places Maury Microwave Corporation in the first 1.5 percent to earn ISO 9001/2:2000 registration nationwide.
