James R. "Rusty" Myers Director of Engineering
Maury Microwave Corporation |
Rusty Myers is the Director of Engineering at Maury Microwave Corporation. His appointment to that position in April 2006 was part of a general reorganization of the company that began as Greg Maury commenced his tenure as President and CEO. Rusty joined the Maury Engineering Team in April of 2003, as the lead developer of the companys microwave component line. In that capacity, he was responsible for the complete product development process and transition to production of all precision microwave components.
Under Rusty's leadership, the company has completed development, and fielded a number of new products, including the entirely new family of precision 1.85mm components and Calibration Kits; a new class of MIL-STD-348A TNCA components and Calibration Kits; and a new line of digital connector gage kits. He also played a major role in the development of Maury's proprietary High-Gamma Tuner technology. He also is heavily involved in all system integration projects, and was a key team member on the effort that produced the MT900N series of millimeter-wave device characterization systems.
Rusty came to Maury from Agilent Technologies/HP of Santa Rosa, California, where he worked as a lead manufacturing development and R&D engineer for 15 years. He has in-depth experience with Agilent's HFSS Modeling software, network analyzer calibration design and development, and has worked extensively with power sensor and electromechanical switching technology.
Rusty received a BSEE from the University of Illinois, Urbana with concentrated study in microwave engineering. He holds a US patent for Modeling Pin Depths Associated with Coaxial Standards.
